Learn More About Alice T. Epitropoulos, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Alice T. Epitropoulos is a board certified ophthalmologist who specializes in refractive and cataract surgery. She has been performing laser vision correction since 1995 with excellent results. In addition to operating a private practice, Dr. Epitropoulos serves as a clinical assistant professor at the Ohio State University. Currently Dr. Epitropoulos is conducting research on reducing astigmatism using a new device called the Terry Astigmatome. She is the first doctor in the country to use this device in the office to reduce astigmatism.

Dr. Epitropoulos has always been actively involved in organized medicine; she has served on the legislative task force committee to the Ohio State Medical Association and was also secretary treasurer of the Columbus Medical Association. She participates in Access Health Columbus for the uninsured and serves as a medical reviewer for a national ombudsman program. Dr. Epitropoulos currently serves as a medical correspondent on the NBC Channel 4 Health Team and is one of the team ophthalmologists for the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Dr. Epitropoulos received her bachelor and medical degrees from Ohio State University. She completed her internship at Riverside Methodist Hospital and returned to Ohio State University for her residency in ophthalmology where she served as Chief Resident. She maintains memberships, fellowships, and/or diplomatic status with the following groups and associations:
